The Interview

So I got the call, but the thing is I AM NOT READY! (AGAIN)
I don’t have a hardcopy of my portfolio so I need to find a laptop to present my portfolio at tomorrow’s interview. I need to borrow a laptop. I need to borrow a laptop. I need to borrow a laptop. And something so amazingly coincedental happened. I texted Chen and asked her if I can borrow her laptop for my interview, and she replied, I have an interview at McCann too. Same time, same place.
HA! What could be better.
We were there at 10, all dressed to kill and ready to take on the battering! Bring it on we jokingly say, while our hands are shaking violently.
Sunny Dumayas, a creative director, interviewed me first. All was well, it was a good conversation/interview and commendation is given. Then he told me that my resume is kind of misplaced! I should apply for a higher level, although he was already there he can not make decisions on my qualification because he is only interviewing for the entry level. He then said that he will refer me to the one who is interviewing the higher position (good thing that that position is hiring! Huhu!)
All in all I was happy-sad. Happy because I got my chance and Sir Dumayas is kind enough to refer me (I don’t have anyone to refer me to any advertising agency from the start.) Sad because its a tougher competition and I am back to square one, waiting for a chance for an interview.
Still I am optimistic. XD
But I hope they give me that chance soon, else I’ll accept the Brunei offer and leave the already insufficient pool of designers here in the Philippines. Huhuhu.
